about

A few months ago, my sister’s girlfriend, Gar was diagnosed with breast cancer. Gar’s mother, a nurse, armed her with the knowledge of performing a self exam which helped her identify what felt like a lemon seed sitting along her ribs. Gar brought this to the attention of her doctor who sent her in for an ultrasound that turned into a mammogram that turned into a biopsy which ultimately led to the surgery that would save her life. The long journey of treatments and healing continue as they try to figure out what the best course of action will be, but on their way they have volunteered for Avon’s 39 mile walk to end breast cancer! In support and celebration I will be donating all the proceeds of my new song “Thinking of You” to the fight against breast cancer. If you like the song, hate breast cancer, or just want to help, go to civilculture.bandcamp.com and get the song!
Thanks again and I hope we all get to say one day that we did it together.

lyrics

Do you stop thinkin of me
When the night gets long
Do you stop thinkin of me
Cause you can't go on
Cause I can't stop thinkin of you
With all this noise in my head
I wish I knew what helped you sleep at night
So I could finally get some rest

Cause I don't want to hear about
The things that I once said
I only want to kick and shout
About the love we'll share ahead
I'll leave my selfish ways of lust
If it's to be with you
I know I'll be hard for you to trust
But try for you I must
Please don't leave me in the dust
I beg of you

Do you stop thinkin of me
When the night gets long
Do you stop thinkin of me
Cause you can't go on
Cause I can't stop thinkin of you
With all this noise in my head
I wish I knew what helped you sleep at night
So I could finally get some rest

And I don't want to hear about
The one you found instead
Someone else to hold you at night
Or be a shoulder for your head
The waves are getting bigger
Since that moment you left my bed
I can't seem to find the light
Try with all my might
There's no end for me in sight
With my loneliness

And I just don't know where to go from here
Givin' up everything I fear
Will this ever dissipate
One day this waves got to break

Do you ever think of me
When the night gets long
Do you ever think of me
Cause I can't go on
Cause I can't stop thinkin of you
With all this noise in my head
I wish I knew what helped you sleep at night
So I could finally get some rest
I wish I knew what helped you sleep at night
So I could finally get some rest

Civil Culture New Hampshire

Civil Culture is a peregrination of contradictions
super-imposed in the sonic spectrum. Listening to the call and answer of one's existence to find the harmonizing tensions of life, Civil Culture lends itself to an open mind.
